Day 1 in Vic

So it has happened, I am on vacation again. In Victoria, at the Delta. Courtesy of my girlfriends air miles. First off how the hell does one get so many air miles? I have been collecting for years and I think.. Think I am maybe at a couple thousand, I got 250 when I bought my truck. I think airfare and a slick hotel room for 6 nights was 15000 air miles. To put that in persecutive thats $300000 at Safeway. We flew early, well not really 10 AM. I hate flying, serious I hate it. Not much scares me but I am not a good flyer. On the brightside it is only less than  an hour and a half flight. We rented a Fiesta, not quite the same as my truck but I will live. Victoria's airport is so small! We tried to check in at Delta at 2 but it wasn't ready. So we went to Garricks head pub. Any person who goes to Vic should eat there in Bastion square. Then we walked the harbour and briefly the leg. grounds. Popped by the James Bay Inn, which is were anyone going to Vic should stay. Unless it is an airmiles trip! I am not too proud to say we bought alot of groceries to have breakfast and some other meals. Then we walked the Delta grounds. They are pretty slick. Anyways the King bed and the suite we got is pretty wicked. Anyways tonight is supposed to be a quiet night, so I am gonna sign off.

Heat wave or Whats new!

SO I am back from LA. Not gonna lie, it was pretty sweet. In every place in the world I wonder if there is a different attitude. Even though LA in one of the biggest cities in USA and Edmonton is one of the bigger cities in Canada they were very different. I did feel a bit like a hick sometimes. The fact is everything is more liberal, you can still smoke on patios (some) and bring your dogs to the bar for a beer! I thought E town was multicultural really we aren't. Although many episodes of the Shield did make me not want to go to East LA or get arrested. In all honesty LA could have 2 languages. And Venice made me think of a shadier Amsterdam. I saw the cup get won which for a hockey nut like me was friction SICK! We stayed in a place called Tracy California. It was in the 30's at 1 am. I doubt I could live like that. San Fran was neat but maybe not the best. Wine country and the Redwoods were awesome. Eureka, you creep me out. No offence but i felt much safer in LA than the night we spent there. I didn't even shower the hotel was so creepy. Also Applebees your a lie and you suck! Oregon was amazing. So pretty but I am glad to be home in Canada. I have a roommate again, which has its ups and downs. It is awesome to have someone else around, not so much when the old lady wants sex or time alone. And I came back broke, I owe everyone money which is really pissing me off. That isn't even the right words more like depressing me. The oil failed so bad we got first pick again. And we drafted NAIL! I am excited, finally I think I might buy an Oiler jersey. I hear Taylor Hall is actually a fucking douche bag. That doesn't surprise me, he has the look of one. Also on a personal note I just figure if your gonna be a douche you should at live up to your hype not just let us all down.... I turned thirty one. Old balls right? Well no grey pubes but still. It was a good little party, sadly only my uncle and my mom wished me a happy b day from my family, on my birthday others got around to it. The gf got me way too much stuff and all my friends remembered. I hear they want to make a "reality" show of the north side of E town. But they were looking for "types" How is that reality if they are acting? And really do you think a virgin or a gangster are gonna come on your show? The only real people will be the used up old cougars. My mens league team made it to the semi finals. I would be excited except we have made it to the finals 4 outta 5 times and not won yet.  Ted is by far the funniest movie in years. Edmonton broke a record temp today. I haven't been at a comfortable temp in 4 days. I have to go water my garden, which surprisingly is doing well, go figure. I think I might make it to the lake once this year. That makes me really sad, I think I hate growing up.
